Description
Saint Mary’s College High School is seeking a full-time Music Teacher beginning with the 2025-2026 school year. The Music courses offered are Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, Advanced Band, Jazz Band, and Chorus.
Saint Mary’s College High School is a Lasallian Catholic college preparatory of 630 students located in Berkeley. Operating in a trimester format, we offer an excellent college-preparatory education to a student body that reflects the diversity of the East Bay. The Teaching Salary is determined by the faculty salary scale, which ranges between $56,000 and $112,000, depending on the experience and education of the applicant.

Requirements
Requirements for Teaching Faculty at Saint Mary’s:
• Active support of the Lasallian Mission of Saint Mary’s College High School
• Bachelor of Arts Degree or higher in Music or a closely related field
• Active participation in the school’s spiritual life by leading student ensembles in Liturgical Music and Chorus
• Active participation in the school’s co-curricular life by directing the Pep Band and the Spring Musical ensemble
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience teaching at the high-school level
• California Teaching Credential or Master’s Degree in Education
• Experience with multiple teaching methodologies and outcome-based assessment
• Practicing Catholic preferred
